DIRT moving day, that is.
Today we had three teens from church come to help Big J move the dirt pile from the driveway to the backyard garden space. Well, actually Big J was mostly directing while preparing and leveling the bricks in the trench. The teens worked hard: shovel, wheel, dump, repeat. Big J is still going to add another layer of bricks, but doesn't it look great with all the new dirt? There are still some piles to be spread around after the second layer is added. There are also some piles of dirt in the yard that will be spread a bit as well. With all the rain we had a couple of days ago, we were able to clearly see where we had some low spots in the yard and thought it was a good idea to put some dirt there. The remaining dirt is in the front flowerbed and around the trees in the front yard. (I'll try to remember to take pictures of that later.)
