First, the kids were given the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a training fighter jet.
Then they were allowed to try on some army gear. It is VERY heavy! P didn't want to try it out and T could only manage the hat. :)

We don't know most of these folks personally, but were thankful for the opportunity to join their field trip today!
The kids were given some free stuff: stickers, lanyards, pencils, and sunglasses. (little E happily toured the museum in the stroller and I don't think I took any pictures of her today)
Free field trips are great! We'll definitely be coming back here again when we next study state history!
