Today's guest

I was soooo glad J found this in the yard!  It could have very easily been stepped on by me or one of the kids (we were all barefoot) and ewww! at the thought of that!  It was a great real life example of camouflage for the kids. 

I helped him hop to safety (OUT of our backyard) after we were done staring at him.

Edited to add - It appears to be a 'Gulf Coast Toad'
