Yes, P did try to taste it. And finally, FINALLY he seemed to understand what I meant when I looked at him and said "Yuck!" (The child doesn't eat dirt, but he does taste it on occasion... and he looks at us strangely when we tell him yuck.)
The kids (well 2 of them) also enjoyed the hosing down afterwards. This was last week when it was summer. Today it is Spring again and there has been no water play outside this week. And wouldn't you know, my children smelled very clean after the whole deal!
(Just for fun, to see how the kids have grown, this was our first shaving cream day of the year last year... pretty much exactly a year ago, minus P who was way too little to join the fun then.)
