Bike Riding

J has become rather proficient on his bike.

E is now comfortable with training wheels, and as of this week, Big J has removed the training wheels and she is learning to ride without them.

We were gifted with a hand-me-down preschool sized bike.  (Thank you Auntie E!)  At first we let R and P ride it as is, but Big J had other plans for this bike.

He first took off the training wheels, then the pedals and the gears.  Now it is a 'balance bike' for R (and a teeny bit for E and P).  The idea is that with a bike her size where she can reach the ground, she can get used to running and riding/balancing when she lifts her feet.  We've already seen some improvement!

And we mustn't forget T!  While P now gets first dibs on the tricycle, T still likes having a turn as well.

Anyway, the kids have had a lot of fun recently riding their bikes out front in the evenings.
