We bought a groupon a while back for a cheaper visit to the zoo. Our intentions had been to take the kids before Christmas, but then they all decided to take turns getting sick and the trip never happened. Seeing as we are fast closing in baby E's arrival, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday.
At T's current age, it is an awesome and fun-filled exciting adventure! All the pictures he has seen of animals come alive right in front of him and I love watching the wonder expressed in his eyes!
The first thing we saw was this beautiful Macaw. And it talked to us, which of course the kids thought was amazing!
Most of the kids are still a little hesitant about feeding the animals, so one bag of feed is plenty for us. (P is by far the 'expert' amongst the children.)
Some other fun animals to see:

T with the noisy geese
As E called it, the "horrid" Llama
Turkeys
Reptile house
We also saw some monkeys. And T noticed something else in the cage with them... listen to his observations -
Then it was time for the train ride! All aboard!
We hadn't seen the big cats yet, so following the train ride we headed to that side of the zoo.
And right before we left we found some more silly monkeys and a few ducks. :)
Great fun was had by all! The rest of our pictures are online here.
*I felt compelled to come back and add pictures from the last zoo trip when T was about 5 months old - too cute! And my how they all have grown!) *
