HEB Field Trip

Today we went on a field trip with some homeschool friends (26 kids ages 1-11) to our local HEB.  What a fun trip!  I definitely recommend doing this as the kids had a great time (and it was free)!  Here are some of the highlights...

Homeschool kids attempting to walk in a line
The more classic homeschool 'cluster' approach
Live lobsters!
Some kids took turns touching them... all of my kids said no  :)
Lobster doing tricks
A cow's tongue - dinner anyone?
R, E, and J touching the cow's tongue (through plastic, of course)
Sampling wheat tortillas (still warm!)
sampling cheese
Sampling something like baby mum-mums.... don't remember what they are actually called
P and R enjoying their samples
more sample enjoyment
Did you know you can make your own fresh peanut butter in the store?!
On the ice cream aisle where they learned that sherbert is healthier than ice cream.
Each kid received a bag of free goodies (which included 2 buddy bucks)

Our tour guide was great!  Very kind, helpful and tolerant of all the kids and their questions.  The kids were given so many samples, too!  Okay, now school is pretty much on break until sometime after baby E is born.  :)
